- Called R35 internally, and Godzilla by its legions of fans, the GT-R arrived for 2009 as the performance bargain of its decade. It fended off European and American rivals with a hand-built V6 that delivered supercar-like performance, a unique exterior design, an infotainment system developed by the company responsible for the Gran Turismo franchise, and a relatively affordable price tag.
- Power comes from a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6, rated at 545 horsepower and 463 lb-ft of torque in stock form. Due to the modifications performed to this GT-R, it may produce more power, but a dyno sheet was not provided to confirm. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
