- Mercedes-Benz released the AMG-developed evolution of the W212 E-Class for 2010. Offered as a sedan and a wagon, it gained a more powerful V8, a transmission that delivered quicker shifts, and a redesigned suspension system with steel front springs and air springs on the rear axle. The end result was a super-sedan that delivered huge power and sharp handling in a reasonably subtle-looking package.
- Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8, rated at 518 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque in stock form. Due to the modifications performed to this E63, it may produce more power, but a dyno sheet was not provided to confirm. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission.
